Fin and Game
kelso, scotland
Fin and Game was created from the passion for country sports which owner, Tom Leslie has. He had identified a gap in the market to provide high quality clothing and equipment from knowledgeable and experienced staff. In 2016 Alta AM acquired a building in Kelso and fully renovated the bottom unit to create the Fin and Game shop. Working with both fly fishing and shooting brands such as Patagonia, Simms, Yeti, Musto, Harkila and Swazi, Fin and Game had a strong product range to serve the target audience. Once a strong business model was created, Fin and Game then went onto create an online shopping platform to wider the target audience and increase their brand positioning.
In 2023 Fin and Game was sold as a solid brand with loyal customer following.
Funky Fly Tying
Kelso, Scotland
In July 2019 Alta AM acquired the online retail shop, Funky Fly Tying. The core business focussed on selling high quality, unique fly tying materials. Once bought over a lot of work went into behind the scenes with new stock management processes put in place, a new ecommerce website and consolidating the Funky brand. Additionally, Funky’s own range of products was expanded and new international suppliers were sourced.
The business was sold in 2023.
